Woodhouse Gardens in Manchester

Always exceptional food and a pleasant atmosphere. Outside in the garden they've put up a lovely outdoor cooking station where the popular plates are there to enjoy. 5* everytime.

Thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to the Woodhouse gardens. Great food, well presented and served by helpful and pleasant staff, what more could you ask.

Beautiful pub. Beer garden on a sunny day is great. Food is great too.

Terrible! Women behind the bar ( manager I think) was extremely rude and unhelpful.my family and I could hear her bad mouthing her staff! Absolutely discussing behaviour and attitude for someone in this line of work! Definitely will not go back again!

This pub is in the centre of woodhousesThis pub serves a good choice of J W LEES HANDPUMPED ALES AND HAS GOOD FOOD ONthis pub has good mannered helpful staff and as such the clientele that comes in this pub are also polite and curtious.Well worth a future visit by myself when in this neck of the woods again

Nice little restaurant good food

Have always enjoyed a nice experience here so decided to book for my mums birthday. Booked a table for 5.30pm. It was 6.40pm before we got our food. No apology. No explanation. And it wasn’t the best. Lukewarm. Won’t be returning

Lovely pub, clean and tidy. Just let down by the food quality.

Nice food which always seems fresh, lovely atmosphere.... Staff were great, when it's not rainy there's a great climbing frame outside for children.

Pre booked a table for my family of 7, the young waitress who took the order was lovely, however, one of the meals had to go back because it was warm, some of my chips were raw as well. When we wanted to pay the bill, I think it was the manager who had the card machine in her hand just carried on chatting to two ladies on another table knowing we we waiting to pay, this was a further 5 minute wait. Also, when we asked for more drinks, that seemed to be an issue as well. I have never had a problem in the pub before and always thought the food was of a very good standard but after this experience I wont be returning,, The attitude of some of the staff was appalling and lessons should be learnt from this when people are spending good money.

Lovely food, nice beer garden

What a let down. Had a date night with my fiance and the food was pants. I said last time I wouldn't eat here again, and this time I mean it. The picture is of the lovely brown lettuce that was served to my fiance.

After hearing a good review from a friend I came with my girlfriend to this place for some rare time together. Staff were unhelpful, burger was dry and over cooked, my girlfriend paid an extra pound for salt and pepper fries and ended up with half as many fries as me. Burgers came with no sauce and we had to ask for sauce twice which came half way through the meal. The are charging gourmet burger prices for greasy spoon food. I never write reviews but it was so annoying that I had to On this occasion. Safe to say we won’t be returning

Nice atmosphere geared mainly for food, not much seating if youre just having a drink.

Got in just as it opened for lunch, served with a smile from the lady behind the bar. Good choice of food on the menu which they were more than happy to adjust to suit our needs. Food didn't come out of the kitchen in 5 minutes flat, which I take as a good sign, meaning it was actually cooked for you, not just earned up out of a bag and it was well worth the short wait. All of us cleared our plates, even my little girl who had a kids meal of sausage and chips polished off 2 huge sausages. The fact you pay as you order your food is also good, means you don't have to sit around waiting and trying to catch a busy waiters/waitresses eye at the end of your meal.

Lovely bar staff. Friendly but professional!

It's been a long time since the last time eaten here and it's not changed one bit. What I mean by that, is that it is just as bad as it was last time only the service is slightly worse this time around. I asked the waiter what the beef would be cooked like on the the roast dinner and I was told it would cooked slightly pink which is to my liking but when it arrived it looked like what I could only describe as an old flip flop, very tough and extremely chewy. The roast potatoes from a packet along with the Yorkshire puddings (all to uniform ). Although it was not that expensive it was still over priced for a mass produced sunday lunch with required very little effort to produce.

An excellent afternoon celebrating mums birthday. Lovely food from an extensive menu. The staff were attentive to our party of 15....and the bill very reasonable, well recommended😎

Cheese and onion pie was very nice. Didn't like the chips and the beans were just the usual. Service was good. Soup of the day was nice. Bread was great although I could have done with more butter. Quite pricey.

Great atmosphere and lovely food. Apart from the mashed potato which tasted like or was packet mash.Good range of drinks but the £10 lower limit for paying by card is no good especially since a large coke is £3.50

Celebrated our Sons 21st birthday here. They provided a delicious buffet, hot and cold food. Great atmosphere. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Had an amazing time. Thankyou to you all xxx

Food was great really enjoyed it but service wasn't great.However this is something we've thought a few times but still keep going back

After reading some mixed reviews it left me undecided but as we took the plunge. We had the special.. I had a cray fish Marie salad with the beef roast main.. My friend had the soup starter and beef main....All the food was superb in fact I couldn't finish my main the portions were well sized and generous. Staff were absolutely fine... Lovely meal and I'll definitely be eating there again.. Fab Pub!!! 😊 👍🏿

Absolutely shocking system in place to get drinks have to queue all down side of the bar and toilets taking for ages to get drinks. No social distances in place while people are coming in and out the loo your in queue for bar 😞 no good.

Service was very slow. 6 of us arrive at 4:20 pmThe main meal of chicken dinner was unacceptable. It contained 3 mini chicken fillets on bones which were hard and dry . The waitress didd change my meal upon request to roast beef. The beef was lovely but the Roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings were like bullets. I did complain again. They offered me a free dessert which I declined. The rest of my group chose to look at the sweet menu but after about half hour of waiting for waitress to return we lost the will to live and decided to pay the bill. The waitress came to take dessert menu but told we had already the bill. In all we was in the restaurant from 4:20 till 6:30 pm. It's a good job we had 2 well behaved youngsters with us who we kept entertained between courses. We will not be returning in a hurry.

Quality place, with good beer garden. Lees pub, so bit dodgy on the draft beer, but plenty of other choices

Drinks are fine but wouldn’t recommend eating here. Portions are from one extreme to the other and the food is average. One staff member was particularly rude when we gave feedback on a absurdly small portion, bad attitude and unapologetic. Need to retrain or get rid of the rude members of staff (may be management) and improve the food/portion consistency.
